Many years back I had written Word based articles while working for CBN, unfortunately they are not available online any more. I am thankful to the Lord for giving me the opportunity to write and edify my brothers and sisters in Christ through Christian Blogs.
This first blog in this second chapter of writings was posted on 22nd May 2019. Since then, I didn't realize that I have written a good number of blogs so far. All thanks to the Lord Who has helped me write each of them by placing the subject, the message and leading me to the Bible verses that should be referred too. I give the LORD the glory and praise for everything I could do.
God has given us the instruction to exhort and edify one another. I have been greatly blessed to learn from wonderful teachers of the Word of God. I remember being hungry for the Word in the early years after I was saved. Thankfully, it was the time that God TV came on the scene in India and I was able to learn from a lot of greats through their television programmes. There are too many to name so I shall not list them.
I remember noticing that many of these teachers referred to the Amplified Bible. So I decided that I would get myself a copy. It became my birthday gift to me later that year. It was the best gift anyone could give me! Since that time, I have relished my quiet time with the Lord and learned a lot. He keeps enriching me with His wonderful revelations and it is a joy to continue learning through the anointed servants of the Lord.
Here are some verses in which God encourages us to edify one another:
“Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Let each one of us make it a practice to please (make happy) his neighbor for his good and for his true welfare, to edify him [to strengthen him and build him up spiritually]. Romans 15:2
All of the blogs remind me of how much love the Lord has for each of us. He wants us to grow and stay out of harms way. He loves, He saves and He corrects us His children. I have learned every correction I went through was for my good and I am so grateful to Him for the ways in which He saved me from my own foolishness or shortsightedness many a time!
We don't realize that some decisions we make out of emotions or based on a need we think we have, cause us to go into the wrong direction or fall into trouble later in life. The Lord can see where we are headed and He gives us His nudges and pricks our conscience or causes a roadblock to come in the way so that He gets our attention. His Word has very clear guidelines about what we should do and if we seek His guidance, we will find that we are wiser and safer as the years go by.
I hope that the blogs I write are a blessing to those who read them. At times, if some words feel heavy or hard to take, please take it to the Lord and ask Him to show you what it is He wants you to know.
Some of us have had bad experiences in life that make the mention of certain words or subjects painful for us to bear. It is important to address these issues and find healing from the trauma caused by those experiences. I pray that you will be able to unlock the truth about those difficult subjects with the help of the Lord and find relief and peace for yourself.
