Fight the Battle for Your Life

What are the problems you are facing?

Your problems are taking you to the next level in your life.

No challenge - no victory!

Get up and fight the battle for your life.
Don't sit there and allow your adversary to take your life.

You were born because God wanted someone like you to be a part of His creation. He has a plan for you - a plan for a good future.

Fight for His plan to be fulfilled in your life. Don't allow anyone to rob you of His best for you and your life.

You are worth fighting for!
You really are.

If no one has told you that you have value or worth or made you feel that way... the problem is with them, not you.

They were stingy with their words and deeds, too self-centered to see good in anyone else. Don't let their weaknesses or faults make you look down on yourself!

Don't hate yourself because they hated you.
Don't neglect yourself because others neglected you and your needs.

Don't expect others to reward you or acknowledge your goodness...
Keep doing good for the right reasons and God will reward you.

Keep fighting in faith, build up the warrior in you!

Are you going through a rough time?

Many times when we face tough times or have bad experiences, we think something is wrong with us. When someone is mean to us without any reason we tend to think that we are unlovable and begin to hate ourselves too.

The worst thing is that it also colours how we see God our Creator. We blame Him for the way others treat us.

The truth is He loves you immensely and He delights in you. But because people around you do not show you His love, you are feeling this way.

God says to you, "Because you are precious in My sight and honored, and because I love you, I will give men in return for you and peoples in exchange for your life."
Isaiah 43:4 AMPC

You are precious, you are cherished! You are lovable and worth much more than you can imagine! These difficult times will pass. Don't give up hope.

If you want to know who this God, your Creator is, ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He is real and He can hear you. He will answer you!

Come Back - The Father's Cry - A song

It is easy to hate God in a world that detests Him and believes what they want to about Him. I remember years ago when I was hurt about something I got angry with God and went away from Him. I just stopped going to church for some time and it took me a long time of suffering after that to turn back and seek Him. In fact, I hadn't even remembered that I had pushed God away until a prayer warrior reminded this fact. It was then that she led me to pray and ask Him back into my life and my life has never been the same since that time. 'Come Back - the Father's Cry' is a song that was born after I understood how much God the Father really loved me and the grief and pain I had cause Him when I was away from Him. He is the same Father in the story of the Prodigal Son and we are His prodigal children. This song is His love put into words... Even as I wrote it, it was overwhelming... and it has been intense as I sang it too. I am presenting it in its raw form as I would rather let the Father Himself do what He wants with this song which carries His heart and His love. The lyrics of this song are as follows: Come Back - The Father's Cry Chorus: Come back to Me, My child Come back to Me I've been waiting... For an eternity. I've seen you in your heartache I've seen all the tears you cried While you wandered away from Me Listening to those who lied.

Chorus I have a world of love I have the best for you Waiting for you to come Waiting for only you.

Chorus Don't mind the things you've done Don't fret for what you've lost I'm here to take you back Jesus has paid the cost.

Chorus Lyrics and song composition by Henrietta Decruz (Copyright 2020) Published on 22nd May 2020
If you know someone who has gone away from the Father, please share this song with them.

When the storm blazes all around you

When the storm blazes all around you
and things you were familiar with disappear,
When those you entrusted your faith and hope to,
turn out to be ravagers and betray you,
When human help is far and not to be found
then we turn, turn to God Who alone is just,
The all-seeing, all-knowing God Who doesn't need proof,
for He Himself has witnessed the losses you endured.

Call upon Him, Who has ears and will hear,
Ask Him to do justice, bring peace and comfort
for our hearts are all weary with grief and trauma.
Let Him decide what those men in faceless rioting mobs deserve,
those who orchestrated them and also those who condoned them.
Let Him find the solution to our perplexed minds and hopeless situation
Let Him save this land He loves from destruction by hate-mongers.

Rise up and pray dear people of our land,
Let every man, woman and child rise up from despair,
Let every state in our nation be established in peace,
Let the economy of our country rise up from uncertain times,
Instead of division, attacks and losses
may we hear of unity, growth and prosperity.

No Regrets

Talking to someone
Retracing steps in life
I realized
I’ve come a long way
I learned
I have grown
I rejoice
I have no regrets.

Though pain stabbed
My inner being
Grief almost
Maimed my soul
My heart cried
Till every tear had run dry
I survived
I lived to tell my story.

At every juncture
Every difficult phase
My heart though grieved
Had made the right decisions
I loved
I gave
I helped
I cared for others.

I thank God
Who has been
My Helper
My Counselor
My Comforter
My Guide
My Strength
My Protector.

Years of pain
Numbed my mind
Yet He kept me going
He kept me sane
His love a balm
Over every wound
His words so loving
It gave me life.

It may seem
I am a hero
But I know
The real hero
Is God, the One
Who silently shielded
Carried and held me
Till I found myself.

The Rules of the Game

It is an interesting sight to watch little children playing games together. We can see they have a leader who decides which game the group should play. He spells out the rules about what they are allowed to do and what they should not do. The leader has the power to throw out players who don’t follow his rules!

Pretty simple isn’t it? The leader chooses the game and sets the rules and others just simply have to obey those rules. Breaking those rules mean forfeiting the prize or getting thrown out of the game. Both of these eventualities are decided by the leader.

Well it may be very simple to understand in terms of children’s play but when we have to accept the same scenario in real life, it doesn’t really go well with most of us. We are a generation that likes to live ‘my way!’ and smirk at the rules altogether. ‘Rules are meant for breaking’ is a common statement we hear almost everywhere. For the current ‘generation ME’ or ‘generation next’ living the ‘right way’ is ‘unfashionable’ and ‘boring’. Is it any surprise that we have increasing instances of accidents, disease, death or destruction because people don’t follow any rules related to traffic, health, prevention of addiction or the way to keep peace?

The question is how do we look at rules? Do we look at them as some mean person’s scheme to make our lives more difficult and miserable? Or do we look at them as instructions meant to make our life smoother, easier and safer for everyone concerned? Our outlook towards them decides whether we obey or disobey them.

With rules there are consequences for not following them. Just as the leader in the children’s game decides that someone should be removed from the game because they broke the rules, in real life too, breaking rules have consequences… sometimes very severe. For example, those who use the road as a racetrack may ultimately meet with a grave accident due to their no-respect-for-rules attitude and if they die it means that there is no return to the game of ‘life’. At other times, there is a warning, a fine, an imprisonment or your license could be confiscated.

We may not like the idea of rules, but the fact is that these rules govern every area of our lives right from the spiritual, physical, social, financial and all aspects of life. The universe we live in has its own laws. We are all familiar with the laws of gravity thus we know that if we throw something up it would certainly come down.  This law of gravity is a reality, one that we live with. It is the same with other universal laws such as the law of cause and effect, the law of compensation, etc.

Who made the universal laws that govern our existence? Did they just come to being? Absolutely not! There is Someone who made the universe and brought everything into existence by His power. He made the earth, the sun, the moon, the planets and all the creatures on earth. He also ordained the times and seasons for everything and we are able to plan things throughout the year simply because the cycles He planned at the beginning of time have been going on continuously since the time He made them. We know Him as God.

Everything in the universe moves according to how God ordained. Considering we have to acknowledge that the rules He made concerning how a man should live, where he would go after death and the result of doing evil will also have effect. It is a fact that every living creature has to die and each of them is governed by the rules made by God. Whether we accept His existence or not is of no consequence to Him. He ‘is’ and therefore what He ordained stands and no one can fight Him and have their way. Just like the leader in a children’s game, He has His way. His rules apply and are carried out by all elements in the universe – living or non living. Those who go against His ordained rules face getting thrown out of the game, which in this case would mean ‘death’ and what happens after death.

We know that there are consequences to every addiction. Alcohol, drugs, sex, food, gambling, or anything a person may be addicted to in the end tends to swallow that person’s life and leave him shallow, lifeless or even dead. Too much of anything is bad, too much of salt is bad for your BP, too much of sugar has severe consequences too. Most diseases we have are a result of too much! ‘Too much’ love for anything tends to become a bondage, a prison which is difficult to get out of. God has given warnings to us so we can avoid getting into such predicaments. We are also warned about an excessive love for power, money or anything that is worldly. We are warned that those who live by the sword, die by the sword and that love for money is the root of all evil.

Why did God make all these rules? Why does God tell us such things? The answer is because He cares for us. He wants us to treasure ourselves and value our lives. Just as when a mother tells her child to keep away from the fire so that her child won’t get burnt, in His love God sets boundaries for us so that we too can be safe.

Rules and laws protect us and our rights. Imagine if you made a deal with someone and paid them all the money but they failed to keep their part and didn’t deliver the goods. If there were no laws you would not be able to do anything about it but since there are laws you have a way of dealing with the problem and getting your money back. Without rules society would become a lawless jungle where anyone can behave anyhow, do anything that harms others and no one would stop him. Rules and laws are God’s way to ensure there is order in everything. When rules are broken they help us know that there is a problem that needs to be solved.

Obeying or disobeying the rules God made not only affects our present and future life on earth but also our eternal destiny. We know everyone of us will die someday. What happens after we die? Well, God has also made a place called ‘Hell’ that is also known as Sheol and Hades, a temporary place where souls go after death. The Bible also tells us about a place called ‘Gehenna’ or ‘the Lake of fire’ – the second death, a permanent place of torment of the souls of the wicked.

Jesus illustrated this in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Both of them died. “And in Hades (the realm of the dead), being in torment, the rich man lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried out and said, “Father Abraham, have pity and mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame. But Abraham said, “Between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who want to pass from this [place] to you may not be able, and no one may pass from there to us.” Luke 16:22-24,26

‘Why should we care about Heaven and Hell?’ you may ask. I understand that you may choose to disagree with it… However, there is one thing you must consider, what if you are wrong? Would you personally choose to spend eternity in the Lake of fire? We are not talking about one year, ten years or fifty years… we are talking about forever! Obey the rules or commandments of God and enjoy eternity in heaven where there is joy of every kind OR disobey them and spend eternity like the rich man in the parable – in Hell, the lake of fire, the place of eternal torment.

Personally speaking… I prefer obeying and going to heaven even if I have to suffer on account of it in earth… After all, permanent is more important than temporary, isn’t it?

If I cannot bear to let my little finger burn for even a few seconds how then can I imagine my whole body burning for ages?

To the Future...

In every moment of grief, sickness and pain,
I have felt His loving hand, His presence...
My Lord God is the reason I could endure
the great suffering that came my way
some due to my own choices
and some due to the wrong doings of others...
I have only Him to thank
as He was with me
carrying me through times when I couldn't move
and felt numb inside me...
I am sure I want Him to be with me
in my good times
since He was the One who was with me
in the hard times.
How could I live and face my future
without a Faithful and Loving Father,
an eternal Friend, a Helper and Comforter like Him?

Should We Be Warned?

Ecclesiastes 12:6,7 in the Bible says, "[Remember your Creator earnestly now] before the silver cord [of life] is snapped apart, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern [and the whole circulatory system of the blood ceases to function]; Then shall the dust [out of which God made man’s body] return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God Who gave it." [Amplified Bible]
Man made out of dust

What remains after this life?

Only dust!

We are but dust, God shaped us put His breath in us and gave us life. He formed us and gave us our personality! Everything that we take pride in originates and is because He gave it to us.

Our very breath is in His hands. We need to always remember this. One blow from Him and our story is over!

Where do we stand with God? Are we doing what is right in His sight?

The world has changed the standards of good - bad and right - wrong but God hasn't! Seek God and correct yourself... He is a great Forgiver and His blessings are for those who will obey Him with a sincere heart! ?

King Belshazzar receives a warning from God:

King Belshazzar sees the writing on the wall
King Belshazzar wanted to know the interpretation of what the 'Finger' had written on the wall. It was inscribed MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN and none of his wise men could tell him the interpretation of these words.

Daniel came and told the king that he had been defiant against "the God in Whose hand your breath is and Whose are all your ways you have not honored and glorified [but have dishonored and disgraced]."

Then Daniel went on to share the interpretation of what was written, "And this is the inscription that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN—numbered, numbered, weighed, divisions. This is the interpretation of the matter: MENE, God has numbered the days of your kingship and brought them to an end; TEKEL, You are weighed in the balances and are found wanting; Peres, Your kingdom and your kingship are divided and given to the Medes and Persians." Daniel 5: 25-27 [Amplified Bible]

The Bible records, "During that night Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans was slain," Daniel 5:30. Belshazzar didn't think that his end would be like this but he could do nothing to change it. His power, position, status and possessions could not save him from what God had decreed for him.

Hebrews 10:31 says, "It is a fearful (formidable and terrible) thing to incur the divine penalties and be cast into the hands of the living God!"

Now matter how great you think you are, no matter what your accomplishments and achievements... the fact remains your breath is not in your hands... but in the hands of the God who made you! Rethink your life and your priorities... It may be far more valuable than you think!

#NOAH the film - How much Truth and how many Lies?

I didn't get to meet the real #NOAH... instead I met an impostor who is doing his best to spoil Noah's name!  A big thumbs down to the makers of this film. If they couldn't do justice to the story of Noah... they shouldn't have made this film!!! Instead someone who really knew and understood the story in the right way should have made the film.
I think this is a clarion call to the Christian Filmmakers - Rise up and make films related to our faith before those who hate God and His people make stuff like this to pollute people's thinking!!!

Friends, there are several elements added to the story of Noah which have changed both the characters and the story totally. So much so that except for a very few things the rest is all a web of lies!

The film maker has used his creative license so much that he changed the story from the original. Like for instance he shows Noah's younger two sons did not have wives.

Well, that is too far from the truth. Genesis 6:18 says "But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife, and your sons' wives with you." And Genesis 7:7 says, "Then Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him entered the ark because of the water of the flood."

As for the children born to Noah's sons, another LIE inserted into the story... the film shows the birth of twin daughters whom Noah wanted to kill, nothing can be further from the truth. There was no birth inside the Ark at all! There was no question of Noah killing anyone - He would never kill even a living thing! Why would a person like that want to kill girl twins??? Desperate to cause hate towards Noah and God - the filmmakers have proved they just don't want to tell the story honestly!

The sons of Noah had children only AFTER they settled on the land. Genesis 10:1-4 says this, "This is the history of the generations (descendants) of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The sons born to them after the flood were: 2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

The other thing the film does is insert something called 'Watchers' or fallen angels who are supposed to be helping Noah build his Ark. Nothing could be further from the Truth as the fallen angels are more associated with Satan, God's arch enemy and would have never be involved in anything even remotely related to God or His people. Revelation 12:9 says, "And the huge dragon was cast down and out—that age-old serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, he who is the seducer (deceiver) of all humanity the world over; he was forced out and down to the earth, and his angels were flung out along with him." [Amplified] Why would such beings have anything to do with Noah, a man chosen by God?

The movie has another insertion that is entirely untrue. It shows a character called Tubal-Cain, who is a descendant of Cain enter the Ark undetected. The Bible story does not have any stowaways! Moreover, there was no chance anyone could enter like that since Genesis 7:16 says, " And they that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded [Noah]; and the Lord shut him in and closed [the door] round about him." It was God Himself who sealed the Ark, no one could go through Him and stay alive anyway.

As for God and His nature - Genesis 6:5-7 says, "The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved at heart. So the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away mankind, whom I have created from the face of the ground—not only man, [but] the beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air—for it grieves Me and makes Me regretful that I have made them."

Man can bear seeing men kill other men... we have grown accustomed to seeing riots and violence where tens, hundreds and thousands of people perish. But not God... it hurts His heart to see the men He created doing this to one another. He wants us to love one another - not kill one another. That is why it grieved His heart... and He decided to give man a fresh start through Noah, a "just and righteous man, blameless in his [evil] generation; Noah walked [in habitual fellowship] with God" Genesis 6:9 [Amp]

The film also shows that Noah made choices that mankind should end and that God wanted all men to perish. However that is also far from the truth. Genesis 8:1 says "GOD [earnestly] remembered Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark." And in Genesis 8:15-16 it says, "God spoke to Noah, saying, 'Go forth from the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives with you.'"

If God really wanted He could have destroyed all mankind and none of us would have been here to know the real or distorted story of Noah!

So see the movie but also go back and read Genesis 8 to Genesis 10 to know the REAL STORY. Here is a link that will take you to the online Amplified Bible - my favorite version of the Bible! Read Genesis 8 to 10 - Amplified Bible
Don't let anyone put wool over your eyes!!! Please go back and check everything that is said so that you don't have to swallow lies and be made a fool of! Knowing the Truth makes a huge difference... it can affect your life on earth and afterwards too. You are precious and your soul is too!

Take the trouble to know the truth. Please do it for your own sake!

Angry with God?

We often judge God because of what someone else did. Perhaps it was ‘a parent you looked up to’, ‘someone you loved and would do anything for’, ‘a friend’, ‘a Christian’, ‘Pastor’, ‘preacher’, ‘someone serving God in a ministry’ or anyone – even a stranger who hurt you. They used their freewill and did something that hurt you, betrayed you, broke your trust, offended you, broke/ crushed your spirit and degraded you.

Just as Adam & Eve chose to do what God had told them ‘not’ to do and sinned against God, even those who hurt you, abused you, despicably used you for their own intrigues or interests have sinned against you and also sinned against God by doing so.

God being a just and righteous God will definitely deal with them for what they have done. However remember He is also a merciful God and that is why we don’t die the moment we sin or do wrong! He extends the same mercy and grace to you and others who sin against you. He does it so that each person has a chance and some time to repent, change, correct themselves and make amends for their wrongdoing. When He give them several chances and they don’t repent – that is when the Judge in Him arises to do justice to His children who suffered because of the wrong done – thus His wrath.

No one can save a person who has wasted/ frittered away the opportunity, the chance and time God gave them to repent and get right with God. When God decides enough is enough – no power on earth, no Satan, nothing can save the person/persons whose time is up. His will – will be done!

Can you breathe one breath after God says it is time for you to die? No! His power is invincible. People take His mercy for granted not realizing it is just a rope given so that they can repent and save their souls from hell, eternal perdition, the lake of fire where they can burn forever.

Earthly judges can be bought – God is beyond the thought of bribing or influencing! He is no respecter of persons. Earthly records can be fudged, erased, manipulated or changed but God’s records are perfect – your every thought, word and deed is recorded in His Book. You think nobody knows – SOMEONE who judges – knows everything about you! He knows the hidden things you did or thought about and didn’t do.

It is a grave thing to fall into the hands of God. Look up the records and see how the mighty have fallen all through history. No amount of money, power, name, fame, cunning could save the in the hour God dealt with them.

The simple, righteous man has a lot to rejoice – for his labours will be rewarded by the God who sees. He may suffer in this world as more and more people choose to go against God and do the opposite of what He said. But he will have the last laugh as he fears the One who has power over both body and soul and the life after the death of this physical body that each of us will go through.

Beware when you cheat and wrong someone – their tears are precious to God. He hears their cries and He will rise up in judgment against all those who wrong His children – both those who know Him and those who don’t.

He cares for the children He created – even those who mock and wrong Him. He makes the sun to shine on them too. He is fair – He give a lot of chances because what is at stake is their ‘soul’ and how they will spend eternity. You will do well if you seek Him, learn to heed Him, learn of Him and live the way He says – for then you will thrive and do well for eternity.

Would you choose to give up billions of dollars for a hundred dollar note? No! Isn’t it? It is downright foolish. Exactly in the same way – you are making a choice now. When you choose to go against God and live the way you please/opposite of what He said, you are trading and giving up your soul’s life – for thousands of years (eternity).

This lifetime is a test to see what you choose. The one true Living God has set before you the biggest decision you will ever make – choose to live forever with Him or choose to burn in Gehenna, the lake of fire for eternity. It is simple – it is His way or the way that leads to the eternal fire! No wonder He gives sinners so many chances to repent – once you are there, there is no way of coming back! It is a permanent change you are making! Take your life seriously. Give more into every thought, word and deed. They matter to Him.

Perhaps you are one of those who think ‘there is no God.’ Perhaps you think that ‘life is to have fun, enjoy while you have the chance, tomorrow anyway we have to die.’ What if you die and stand before the same God whom you denied and have to answer for all that you did? You will not be able to go back and change your life because you realize then that you were wrong. You will have to suffer for eternity for this false belief you held all your life. Too much depends on this chance you are taking.

If you have any doubts about who the real God is and what His nature is, seek Him! God promised that those who seek Him with all their hearts will surely find Him. He will reveal Himself to you if you seek Him! He is much more and beyond what earthly teachers say about Him. Do not depend on someone else’s experience of God to make your conclusions, have your own! He is your Creator too! He knows you inside out, He knows your thoughts – ask Him in your heart – whatever you need to know about Him and He will answer!

You Are... - A Song

Here are the lyrics of another song I wrote and composed. It is addressed to God our Creator.

The Song is titled "You Are"

You are
more than equal
The King of all that is…
Yet You came and became nothing
So every soul shall live
Who am I that I should take pride?
Who am I that I should look down from high?
Who am I?

Chorus:
My Lord the Master of the universe!
My Lord the King of kings!
My Lord the Savior the sacrifice
Who teaches me how to live

In my sin…
You never shunned me
You came and gave me hope
From within I was so broken
You brought my soul to life
Who am I to look down on others?
Who am I to ill-treat my brothers?
Who am I?

Chorus

Filled with smiles
my heart is singing
The song of eternal joy
By Your love Your warmth is healing
Every wound inside
Why would I not share it with others?
Why should I not of Your love testify?
Why shouldn’t I?

Chorus

With all my heart
I want to praise You
You’re more than life to me!
All my life I want to serve You
Make my life count for You!
It is my joy to do as You tell me
It is my pride to call You my own!
I am Yours!

Chorus

Women of God

Here's a song I wrote and composed specially about women and for women. Here are the lyrics of the song...

Women of God

Noble and gentle,
Honest and meek
Working in earnest
Strength and dignity
Called to be pillars
Of the church and the home
Called to be daughters
Drawing near to God’s throne!

Chorus:
We are women of God
Who worship the Lord
Who sit at His feet
And minister to the weak
We feast on His Word
Draw strength from the Lord
Growing stronger and wiser
Humbly serving the Lord.

Looking up to the women
Who lived out their faith
To Deborah and Miriam,
Hannah, Ruth and Esther,
To Huldah and Rahab,
Elizabeth and Mary
We are striving to write out
Our own faith-story!!!

The LORD God has called us
To be samples of His love
To be vessels of His grace
To be beacons of light!
To call back His own
To bring them to His throne
To fly high in spirit
And be forever His own!

P.S: I was hoping that the song would spell out what we can aspire to be as true 'women of God'. I am happy that I have had the privilege to know such women of God too!
